Contax Tvs, Kentmere Pan 400

First time i tried shooting black and white on a point and shoot film camera. Again, not sure if its in the scanner settings or how i metered but most of my shots are really high contrast. And while that is how i normally shoot, (i try to emphasize light and shadow) i found the results very extreme and that there were no details at all in the shadows. Luckily, in some i was able to extract.

I would usually focus on the subject and i guess that’s where the contax meters too. To be fair, i was shooting at the highlights mostly.

So what are my take away? Manually meter and/or focus on a point and shoot. But then, what’s the point?
