Karuizawa, Japan

Had our first taste of snow in Karuizawa – a ski resort in the Nagano Prefecture, 2 hours northwest of Tokyo.  Being a ski resort, they actually produce artificial snow all year round.  But if you are there during winter, you’d be lucky enough to experience snowfall – just don’t sleep through it like we did.
